Bring your teddy bears for a picnic

Playgroup WA is holding a teddy bears’ picnic next Wednesday to share its 2013 program with parents.

Yoganup Park is the venue for activities such as a bear hunt, storytelling and a teddy bears’ hospital, from 9.30am to 12.30pm.

Playgroup WA South West development officer Karen Collins said the free event was an opportunity for families with young children to find out about the different playgroups on offer this year.

“We’re hoping to encourage all generations to attend,” she said.

“If you have your grandchildren staying with you maybe you would like to join us.”

Ms Collins said interested parties should first register for the event by calling the Playgroup WA hotline on 1800 171 882.

“Bring your own picnic gear and of course teddy bear, along with lots of wonderful things to eat, and we will provide you with plenty of fun games and activities,” she said.
