Woman fighting for life, man seriously injured after car hits tree on Lovekin Drive in Kings Park

A woman will undergo emergency surgery after suffering critical injuries in a crash in Kings Park on Sunday night. The crash happened about 8.15pm when a white Holden Cruze hatchback left the road and hit a tree while travelling west on Lovekin Drive. The 40-year-old male driver and a 25-year-old female passenger were seriously injured and taken by ambulance to Royal Perth Hospital. On Monday, the woman was in a critical, but stable condition in the hospital’s intensive care unit. It is understood the woman was due to undergo surgery on Monday after suffering serious injuries. The man was in a stable condition on Monday afternoon, a hospital spokesman said.
