Bedford Coles delivery truck stolen and recklessly driven before crashing on Grand Promenade, man charged

A 41-year-old is facing charges after he allegedly stole a Coles truck and recklessly drove around before crashing into a wall. Police allege the man stole the supermarket truck on Saturday about 5.10pm and then proceeded to brazenly drive through Bedford and surrounding suburbs. The alleged joy-ride ended after he smashed into a wall on Grand Promenade in Bedford. The 41-year-old has been charged with one count of robbery, reckless driving and no authority to drive.
