School basks in success after top ATAR achievements

Busselton Senior High School is entering the 2019 school year on a high after its recent graduates posted the highest median ATAR result in the region and achieved 100 per cent attainment.

The graduates received a median ATAR of 78.95 and all students were accepted into their first preference at university.

The news follows a major win in November, when BSHS was recognised as Australia’s best school for Vocational Education and Training at the Australian Training Awards in Sydney.

Principal Dainon Couzic told the Times the back-to-back results were a testament to the individual programs tailored to each student and said he could not put into words how proud he was of the students.

“The greatest reward as an educator is to see students leave the school having achieved their goals or be well on the way to doing so,” he said.

“It means we are doing our job, and doing it well.”
