The South West Police Crime Prevention Bus will be taking information and installing free anti-theft number plates at Bunnings Busselton tomorrow from 10am-2pm.

South West police are working in partnership with Bunnings, which is donating the anti-theft number plate screws.

Crime prevention and diversity officer Senior Constable Neale Horsley said any community member with information on crime prevention were asked to attend and consult with police. “We want to get a strong message across to the community to install anti-theft number plates because stolen plates are often used in a lot of other offences such as stolen vehicles and fuel drive-offs,” he said.

Other crime prevention information includes person-al security or home security, as well as any suspicious behaviour.

“If you are worried about neighbours or smell strange odours coming from over the fence, maybe cars often coming and going from an address in the street, we want to know about it,” Sgt Horsley said.
