Lift spirits with choir singing
Busselton Choral Society is on the lookout for new singers of all ages and walks of life.
Practices for 2019 began last week, but Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts-trained conductor Marnie Fulton said the group was keen to attract more members.
“Choir singing has been proven to have huge benefits — it makes you happier, smarter, healthier, and is a great way to make friends and connect with the people in the community,” she said.
“We have around 25 members at the moment and would love for people of all ages and walks of life to join in the fun, and add their flavour to the sound.”
This month, the group began preparing songs for the June concert. The theme will be Music Through The Decades and will have songs from the 1950s to today.
Practice is on Thursday nights from 7.30-9.30pm at the Busselton RSL Hall Memorial Hall and there are no auditions to join.
