The Fine Vines Festival started with a bang last Thursday night, with event organisers, friends and sponsors invited to the launch party at Edwards Wines Cellar Door.

Attendees enjoyed a live DJ set, wines from Edwards, Jilyara, Cape Grace and Jingalup, and food prepared by chef Tim Whitty.

During the 10-day festival, ticket-holders will get access to the vines, experts and wines from more than 80 local producers.

Zac Webb started the event with a welcome to country, and many sponsors and organisers shared their thoughts on the third year of the festival.

“Its a celebration of the Margaret River wine region and its incredible producers, vineyards and all the people associated with the wine industry in the region and the incredible work they do,” joint festival director Brianna Delaporte said.
