Adelaide Fringe best event award winner Jay Hoad will perform at Settlers Tavern on Sunday as part of a huge run of 35 regional west coast shows.

Hoad will kick off his tour with shows in Margaret River, Dunsborough, Yallingup and Bunbury in the upcoming weeks, launching two new albums before heading back for a European summer tour.

Hoad’s unique show includes almost 20 instruments on-stage including a drum kit, a skateboard guitar and didgeridoos. With seven full-length albums recorded in the past 10 years and the experience of touring 42 countries, Hoad brings an accomplished and infectious energy to the stage.

Hoad’s last release, Off The Cuff won the ARBA roots album of the year in 2017, and he will perform tracks from two unreleased albums, testing the new material live.

Hoad said he was looking forward to performing in WA, where the locals had always been so supportive of the show. “I absolutely love WA and I’ve got a few days of downtime in between the shows, so I’m looking forward to checking out some of the countryside; definitely going to juice me with good vibes to take around Australia and Europe,” he said.

“I’m really excited to bring the new tunes and instruments to the fans, including the skateboard guitar, which was made by my good friend Craig Koen in SA.

“People just can’t believe the sound that comes out of this thing.”
