Great Aussie dream a reality for winner

A 25-year-old Witchcliffe man became a homeowner overnight last week thanks to Aussie Living Home’s Win a House campaign.

Kyle Fittler walked away with a four-bedroom, two-bathroom home design, built by Aussie Living Homes.

Mr Fittler was one of more than thousands of entrants in the draw and was the only finalist from the South West. Arriving at the Aussie Living Homes head office in Osborne Park last Thursday, Mr Fittler had a one in 10 chance to win a house.

He said it was “surreal” to hear his name called.

“It still doesn’t feel real,” he said.

“I’ve always wanted to buy land, but I’m starting to study this year, so working and studying at the same time was going to put it off for a few years.”

The law student said he was keen to get the ball rolling on his home, which he would build in Brookfield.

Aussie Living Homes manger Adam Sargent said Mr Fittler was the second recipient of the Win a House campaign since 2016 and he was happy to help young people kickstart their lives.

“Winning a house at this stage of Kyle's life would be a dream for many and we are glad to contribute,” he said.
