Busselton police appeal for assistance with investigations into November 1 incident at Elysium Jewellers

Police have called for the public assistance in identifying two individuals involved in an incident at a Busselton jewellery store last month. Detectives are investigating an incident which occurred at about 2.30am on November 1, where the individuals forced entry into the Fig Tree Lane shopping complex on Prince Street. They then smashed a window of Elysium Jewellers and stole a number of items from the store before leaving the scene. About $25,000 worth of items were stolen during the incident, with an additional $10,000 worth of damage caused. Business owner Clayton Gordon said he found out about the incident following a call out. “I came down here and could see there was quite a bit of damage to the front and side windows,” he said. “They smashed the windows, pulled the glass out, and basically helped themselves.” It is the second time the business has been targeted, with an attempted burglary taking place at the premises in February 2022. Police are asking for information on the two people they believe may be able to assist with their inquiries.
