Perth’s improvisation A-team will return to Busselton on Saturday, March 3, for a night of comedy as part of the LiveLighter Busselton Fringe.

The Big Hoo Haa features two teams of comedians who will take to the stage for an improvised battle of wits and humour.

Comedian Damo Lockwood said he was excited to bring the show back to the Busselton Fringe.

“It’s a big, fat, fun show,” he said. “Audiences don’t know what to expect and we don’t know what’s going to happen either.”

Lockwood said although the show was based on improvisation, performers rehearsed once a week.

“It’s once you adhere to certain rules that freedom can exist,” he said. “It’s about looking as good as possible onstage. That’s when the magic happens.”

Lockwood will also take to the stage on Sunday, February 25, and Wednesday, February 28, for a more family-friendly production.

The Spaceman Cometh follows the journey of three unlikely heroes who are sent to save the world after an alien planet contacts earth.

Lockwood said the show was a celebration of joy rather than one which explored a message or sense of sadness.
