Dunsborough’s Grounded Wholefoods will transform into an exhibition space with the first instalment of community art and culture events taking place tomorrow night.

Portraiture and Place will start at 5.30pm tomorrow with an exhibition by local artists Amelia Jajko and Louise Howard.

The event will also be a fundraiser for Dunsborough woman Rebecca Williams who is battling cancer in her bowel, liver, lungs and lymph.

A sculpture created by Howard will be auctioned off, with bids starting at $250.

Grounded Wholefoods owner Rebecca Ehlers said she looked forward to using the cafe and providore for further community events.

“We have this amazing space we’re welcoming emerging artists to use,” she said.

“Artists can hang their work and advertise them for sale, and we’re welcome for them to come and go for exhibitions or competitions. Having event nights like Portraiture and Place also means people can meet the artists and know the story behind work they might buy.”

Entry is by donation with all proceeds going to Ms Williams’ cancer fund.

Portraiture and Place is from 5.30-8.30pm tomorrow at Grounded Wholefoods, Naturaliste Terrace, Dunsborough.
