North Plantations & Inggara bushfire: Emergency warning downgraded as blaze near Carnarvon decreases

An out-of-control bushfire threatened homes near Carnarvon on Monday night.

An emergency warning was issued and people in North Plantations and Inggara regions in the Shire of Carnarvon were warned to act immediately to survive.

The Department of Fire and Emergency Services downgraded the blaze at 7:44pm, advising residents to monitor conditions as the fire could still be a threat to lives and homes.

“A bushfire watch and act is in place for people in the area bounded by Bibbawarra Road to the east, North River Road to the north, Cecelia Street to the west and the Gascoyne River to the south in North Plantations,” the alert states.

Fire and Emergency Services are advising peple to stay alert and monitor their surroundings as conditions could change.
