Former No.1 Southern Smash draft pick Will Bosisto commits to Fury as captains for all four teams confirmed
Last year’s Southern Smash No.1 draft pick, former WA batter and WA Premier Cricket run machine Will Bosisto has committed to another season with Albany Finance Fury for regional WA’s premier T20 tournament.
Bosisto, whose name was read out first at in the 2023 Smash draft, will suit up again for the Fury as one of their four retained players.
The 31-year-old has enjoyed a blistering start to the 2024-25 season with University belting two centuries across the opening four one-day games and amassing 367 runs at an eye-watering average of 122.33.
Bosisto also finished as the second-highest run-scorer in the NSW Premier Cricket’s T20 competition scoring 316 runs at a more than handy average of 45.14
The Fury will again be captained by Mt Barker all-rounder Alex Fergie while fellow Bulls teammate and 2023 Smash title-winning captain Jeremy Wood has moved from the defunct Elders Avengers to the Retravision Warriors, replacing outgoing skipper Nathan Crudeli.
Star English all-rounder Joe Stanley who is playing locally with Railways, will take the reins as Camtrans Bulldogs captain and Tim Hutchison will again lead Arc Infrastructure Aces, who announced swashbuckling wicketkeeper-batsman and 2022 player of the tournament Jaron Morgan has been retained.
The 2024 Smash draft night is on November 18 with nominations closing on Friday, November 15.
