Lindsey's 4 Lunch owner David Lindsey says he was completely surprised to win the Busselton Chamber of Commerce's Awesome Business Award recently.

The award, which recognises outstanding local businesses, was awarded to Mr Lindsey for the month of June and recognised the staff's ability to establish "excellent rapport" with customers.

He said business had been going well this winter and many loyal customers were going to the cafe regularly.

"I was quite happy about it," he said.

"Being a small business, every bit of gratitude helps.

"Business is doing a lot better now than it was in the beginning."

Mr Lindsey said he believed the key to therestaurant's success was having a good reputation and a quality product.

He said he hoped the business would continue to grow and was grateful to the new and regular customers for their support.

Lindsey's 4 Lunch is located at 15 Cook Street in Busselton.
